Heroes For Her

We are leading change and making global impact on the health of women and girls through Health Education, Mentorship, Advocacy, and Research

About us

We inspire hope and empower women and girls across Africa by providing access to the mentorship and support they need to take charge of their health and future.

Established in 2022, HeroesforHER Foundation stands at the forefront of advancing the health, empowerment, and well-being of women and girls across Africa. We believe that when a girl is empowered, she makes healthier choices, uplifts her community, and becomes a catalyst for change. Our scope of impact covers SDGs 3, 4, and 5.

Our Projects

Project Pad Her (Pad a girl campaign)

We are building pad banks in schools and communities to provide monthly access to menstrual products for girls in these communities. Menstrual poverty contributes to teenage pregnancy because young girls are exploited when seeking support from the wrong source posing as a helper. Our goal is to bridge this gap by providing schools with menstrual products to make it easy for girls to access these products. You can support a girl monthly with ₦500/£1/ $1 or support building a bank for a school. Every bank receives 100 sanitary pads each month.

STORIES THAT DESCRIBE OUR MOTIVATION

Our commitment is to prevent more deaths like that of Adeola, a pregnant 22-year-old who lost her life because she was unable to access optimal perinatal healthcare due to not having the means to make the right decisions about her healthcare.

- To inspire 19-year-old Adannaya —bright and determined, who lacks the mentorship and support needed to lead meaningful change and empower other girls in her community to reach their full potential.

- To prevent teenage pregnancy, unsafe abortions, and menstrual poverty by providing health education to Tara and her friends and supplying them with sanitary products to prevent them from missing school and losing academic time.
